Coconut oil, shea butter, castor oil... are beauty product that we know very well as we use them for our beauty routines. However, there are some remarkable African oils which are not very well- known but which are just as amazing. I let you discover which one they are and maybe adopt those new products in your routine.
The Abyssinian oil
This oil is made out of the Crambe abyssinica plant which is found in South Africa.
This oil is amazing for both your skin and hair. It is amazing as it is a very good moisturizer for your skin. It penetrates your skin and makes it soft and also reduces wrinkles on your face and body. If you have a dry skin, this oil would be a good choice for you. Abyssinien oil is also a great product for your hair especially for kinky hair. It makes your hair shines and makes them brighter.
Baobab oil
Baobabs are known for being found in Madagascar but, there are also present in many other African countries such as Senegal, Nigeria or even Malawi.
This oil is amazing for dry to very dry skins. This is also an excellent product as it nourishes and improves the elasticity of the skin. Baobab oil is very rich in vitamins A, D, E and F which helps for hair growth.
Marula oil
The oil of Marula come from the Marula tree which can be mainly found in the south- east of the African continent, such as Malawi or Rwanda for instance.
If you have acne, oily skin or even dry skin this oil is what you might need. This is an amazing anti-oxidant which is great to hydrate your face and body, but not only. In fact, marula oil is also what helps to keep soft and moisturized hair.
Touloucouna oil
This plant which is not very well known is very popular in Africa, especially in countries such as Senegal and Guinea.
this oil is good has anti- inflammatory properties. It can be used for hair growth, and massage oil too. What is also great with this oil, is that it does not leave a greasy effect. This is also a remarkable product for dry hair.
Yangu oil
This beautiful plant is the Yangu plant. It was first studied in South Africa and has a lot of advantages for your body.
this oil is just wonderful as it is a natural UV protection. It has been used by the Masai in Kenya for years and constitute one of their beauty secrets. This is also good to use it when you detangle your hair.
